Very rare vintage Vogue Vanities square shaped powder compact - unused Made in England by high quality manufacturers Vogue Vanities who were in production between the 1930’s & 1950’s The compact is made from brass with a black enamelled lid which is adorned with paste stones in a raised geometric setting. It is opened by a push in clasp. Inside there is a clear & unmarked mirror & an inner lid which opens, by depressing the push down clasp, to reveal the powder well. It comes complete with the its original sifter, powder puff, & protective pouch Stamped on the inner lid is: ‘Vogue Vanities’, ‘Trademark’, & ‘Made in England’ The compact measures 6.2 cm square (2.45 inches). It is in fabulous condition with only very minor age related marks & a light scratch on the base. The protective cover has some storage related marks.
