Here is a pretty compact, dating from around the 1970s - a brass powder compact featuring a satin-finish coppery-brown lid with a pretty wine-red & white floral transfer design, & an engine-turned design of concentric zig-zag circles on the reverse. This compact measures 8.3cms in diameter & 1cm thick (that’s 3 1/4 across x 3/8ths thick) I love this for its gorgeous, beautifully smooth reddish-brown coppery colour satin-finish lid, even though it is in very used conmdition - see my notes below. CONDITION:- This isn’t in the best condition really - it’s clearly been heavily used. Someone really likd this back in the 70s, & used it for quite a long time. There are a few nicks & scratches in the lid finish & plating loss inside & on the bottom. There is nothing extra included with this either, so I have dropped the price quite a bit to reflect all these considerations. Please take a good look at the photos before buying. The mirror is in great condition, & this will take a pressed powder refill to use today. The lid design & colour is so pretty, that it is worth collecting this as an addition to your 1970s compact collection, even though it isn’t in the best condition.
