The TAC (Total Alkalinity Content) represents the alkalinity of your pool water. It is one of the essential parameters to check to ensure the balance of the water, along with the pH. The pH and TAC should always be measured and rebalanced simultaneously, because when one of these parameters varies, the other also varies. This product is ideal if your TAC is too low, and consequently your pH is too low and your water is acidic. If your pH only varies, adding TAC will also prevent significant pH variations. Please check the TAC level regularly, e.g. with colour test strips or a pool TAC tester. The ideal TAC value is between 12° and 16° F or between 80 and 140 mg/l.
