Classic Art Deco decoration on this rare face powder box. Tango Flower Poudre Exquisite Cream background with gold & blue writing. 2 women’s faces with windswept hair complete the decoration to the lid. The base states that the powder is ‘ultra fine adherent’ & available in four shades. This shade is Rachel. The lid lifts off to reveal a sealed powder well with the name of the face powder. Era: 1930’s I believe that this face powder box is Australian, as it was very common in the Art Deco period here, to use French writing on vanity items as a marketing tool. Size: 7cms in diameter x 3cms. The powder box is in unopened condition & has light wear from storage. The lid decoration remains largely intact, the rim has some very small pin dot losses of colour & there is a small smudge to the right side of the face decoration. The base has 1/11 written in pencil, perhaps an old price? Any questions please ask. Thankyou for looking.
