Hippeastrum, Amaryllis ‘Stargazer’ is a perennial herbaceous bulb in the Amaryllidaceae family. A native in the U.S., Caribbean, Mexico, & Argentina. These have tall, broad leaves 18-24 long & 1-2 wide. The flowers have white stripes in the middle of the petals forming a star shape. in the temperate zone, you can put this one outside in the summer for blooms, then after dormancy, brings it inside for winter to receive another blooming stage. The blooms are huge, around 6-10 wide & across. It requires average needs. Sun to part shade will be fine for this one. The bees, butterflies, & birds will visit. Zones 10-11 Germination Seeds are stored in the refrigerator for freshness. Sow seeds 1/4 deep & lightly cover with a medium. Keep moist in a bright spot.
