The planter is hand decorated with colored slips & underglaze on the exterior surface & unglazed interior. Clear glaze over white & you select the secondary color in the pill pattern. Black, medium green & bright blue selections with the natural brown clay showing through the pattern & lip of the planter. Each planter has three holes punched into the top for hanging chain.
