Antique Art Nouveau Seed Pearl Bow Foliate Brooch 14 Carat Gold

Here we have a substantial & beautiful Belle Epoque or Art Nouveau seed pearl 14 carat gold brooch. It has multiple natural seed pearls in a bow design, lavalier drop setting with scroll designs typical of the Art Nouveaux period, which lasted from 1890 to 1910. The seed pearls measure between 0.5 & 2mm & are in excellent condition with a good white lustre. The clasp is a hand made tube hinge pin & C clasp. The pendant is articulated at the two ribbon segments so that there is movement. It measures 40mm in length, 31mm in width & weighs 4.6 grams. It is stamped to the rear 14k for 14 carat gold & has a continental hallmark.
