The yellow poinciana tree (Peltophorum Pterocarpum) is very similar to its cousin the flamboyant tree. These have bright yellow flowers that bloom for long periods. Their long-flowing branches & feathery leaves create a canopy of great shade. They can grow at a fast pace & reach maturity in several years. They can also be used as bonsai specimens.
