A gorgeous Yardley London Small Vintage English Lavender Gold Tone Powder Compact / Make-up Mirror. The image shows a charming historical image of a lavender seller in period costume with two children & dog set under a clear celluloid cover. Has a plastic powder container with powder traces inside. Says Pat 319574 on the base beneath the Yardley powder container. The hard plastic powder container says Yardley London, Pat applied for. Closes with a satisfying snap. c 1960s. The back has a radiating machine engineered design from a cartouche with Yardley London. The clasp, hinges & springs are all working perfectly. The mirror compact diameter measures 5 cm (2 1/8 in) & is 1cm (3/8 in) deep. Weighs 45 g (1.6 oz). It is in excellent vintage condition. The compact overall shows very minor signs of wear due to its age & is a pre loved item. The image on the lid & protective celluloid cover is in excellent condition. The mirror gives a crystal clear reflection. Please view photos.
