Vintage Stratton Lipstick & Powder Cosmetic Compact Gift Set Gold Metal & Black Enamel - Colourful Butterfly Motif Original Velvet Case

A Stunning pretty vintage black butterfly enamel Stratton compact & lipstick set in the original velvet covered case. The case & accessories are all present. The Stratton scalloped black enamel compact & Lipstick accessory both have an exquisite colourful enamel Butterfly motif. C 1950s. The Stratton cosmetic gift set is in excellent vintage condition overall. The mirrors on both are is in excellent condition & gives a crystal clear reflection. The compact top shows some signs of wear due to its age, such as slight surface wear consistent with normal use. The enamel image is in excellent condition. Please view photos for condition. The compact opens out & has a round metal plate which folds out when released by a metal catch to reveal the powder well with some powder remains & the original powder sifter. The clasp, hinges & springs are all working perfectly. Says Pat 764125 on the mirror bezel. The back is an attractive gold tone lines & little stars patterned metal surface with Stratton, England on the cartouche. This design was produced in the 1950s. The mirror compact diameter measures 8.75 cm (3 in) & is 1 cm (3/8 in) deep. The lipstick container also has a mirror - the lipstick holder unclips to reveal the mirror. Says Stratton, Made in England & Reg Des No 934643. It is 6.5 cm (2 in) wide, 3.5 cm (1 1/4 in) deep & 2.5 cm (1 in) high. The cased set weighs 360 g (12.7 oz). The case is covered in brown velvet & lined with cream satin with a sponge insert for the two accessories. The inside has Stratton England in Gold.
