Vintage Salter’s Cast Spring Balance Scales Number 50T Dated 1940 Ministyry of Defence Issue Brass Face with Broad Arrow Crows Foot Markings As pictured here we have a set of Vintage Salters Scales. These seems to have it all with regards to markings. Dated 1940 & bearing the Ministry of Defence Broad Arrow Mark or more commonly known as the Crows Foot mark. I understand that 50 is the model number & ‘T’ means they were for Trade of Shop Use. The lead button shown in picture number 6 shows they were sealed for use in May of 1940 & also carries the cypher of King George They stand 36 cm tall & weighing in at well over 2 kg approx. They are as can be seen in all original condition. They have not been touched up They are in working order but exactly how accurate I would not like to say. Look to be accurate. Selling more as a decoration piece than to be used for weighing. A great piece of original vintage & retro Kitchenalia Please see pictures. The picture is the actual item for sale.
