VINTAGE PIE FUNNEL A vintage salt glazed stoneware pie funnel dating from the 1950’s. Also known as a crust support or steam vent to allow hot steam to be released while a pie is cooking to avoid the filling bursting out under pressure. A highly collectable kitchenalia item. Would look great on a dresser shelf with a selection of other vintage items. Condition: Good, no chips, some crazing to the glaze. Old tiny chip to the base. Brown stains to the base.
