Fantastic salt glazed Stoneware Crock Pot from the renowned Moira Pottery Co Ltd. Stoneware pots are extremely tactile items, this wonderful Crock pot from the English pottery company Moira Co Ltd is no different. Moira pottery Co Ltd founded in 1922 Staffordshire England was known for its Utilitarian Kitchen pots & storage jars, mining its own clay on the factory site. It finally closed in 1972 somewhat controversially as it was knocked down so a seam of Coal could be mined under the companies land. This Crock Pot is very likely pre 1950s. A great piece of Kitchen & Social history. Considering its years it is in good vintage condition holds 2 pints & measures 5inches tall, & 7.5 inches from handle to handle.
