Vintage Japanese tea cups in soft grey porcelain, embellished with a single poppy. Pretty pink is touched with plum, & gold leaf. 3 tall, holds 6 oz. comfortably. Circa late 1960s - 1970s. Made in Japan. Immaculate, perfect. Traditional Japanese tea cups are handle-less for a reason. They are made from porcelain, or another clay, & are usually fairly thin. The concept is that when the cup is cool enough to hold comfortably then the tea is the perfect temperature to sip. Vintage Japanese Tea Cups, Grey With Poppies
