VINTAGE BRASS JARDINIERE A vintage early to mid 20th Century (probably nearly antique!) pressed brass jardiniere by Nestor (Harry J Pratt & Co) of Nestor Works, Birmingham . This planter could also be used as a small waste bin. This jardiniere has elegant styling - the body is attractively & lightly hammered in a bark design & the rim has two applied swags & bows & two applied roundels which provide a little Neoclassical design. Stamped to the underside with the maker’s mark. Date: Early to mid 20th Century, possibly 1920/1930’s Condition. Fair functional condition & left uncleaned with a tarnished colour. It has possibly been lacquered at some point & has spots which are a different colour where it may be wearing off. There are a few small dents to the body but nothing serious.
