Distinguished by its irregular scalloped, oblate red fruits with a touch of pink on the shoulders. The plants are prolific producers of large, juicy, meaty & excellent flavoured fruits of 170gm each. Semi-bush. Semi-determinate. 65 Days from planting out. Cultivation advice TOMATO MARMANDE SUPERPRECOCE Sow in spring 1/16 inch deep. Germination takes around 6-14 days at 65-75F. Transplant the seedlings when large enough to handle into 3 inch pots. Grow on under cooler conditions & when about 8 inches tall, either plant in their growing position in the greenhouse or gradually acclimatise them to outdoor conditions & plant out 18 inches apart in a warm & sunny spot in moist, fertile well drained soil & keep watered. Provide support & tie in regularly. Remove side shoots & restrict the plant to one main stem. This is a semi determinate variety, if growth ends in a flower truss, select the nearest side shoot & train up as the main stem. in late summer remove the growing tips to ensure the existing fruits ripen before autumn.
