A beautiful unused boxed vintage Stratton powder compact which ideal for use with loose foundation, as a collectible or handbag mirror. This compact is from the Old China range. Both the lid & base are enamelled. All the original accessories are present. The lid of this Stratton Muffin is embellished with vibrant enamel design known as Panels of Horned Flower Baskets, which was inspired by a Royal Worcester Dessert Dish c.1770. The base is also enamelled. The compact was lacquered during the manufacturing process & so it will not tarnish or need to be cleaned. The mirror gives an excellent clear reflection. The inner lid is signed Stratton. The compact is in very good condition & it is fitted with an automatic opening inner lid which works perfectly, as do all hinges & catches.
