Kusudama originate from ancient Japanese culture, where they were used for incense & potpourri; possibly originally being actual bunches of flowers or herbs. The word itself is a combination of two Japanese words kusuri, Medicine, & tama, Ball. They are now typically used as decorations, or as gifts. Also know as Modular balls, this form of art is a paper model that is usually (although not always) created by fitting together multiple identical units together through their points to form a spherical shape. This Modular ball was originally designed by Ekaterina Lukasheva & is titled Tigra. This Kusudama is handmade by me, unique & one of a kind.
