Here are three one-of-kind ceramic wall plaques from Salt Marsh Pottery. Each has a light mottled grey background with spring flowers. The bowls are impressed with from left ‘Iris’, center ‘Daffodil’ & right ‘Crocus’ flowers. Each has nicely colored detail. They are vertical ovals 6 tall, & 1 deep. Information is impressed on the bottom/back with holes to place a string to hang; two have wires & one does not. They are designed for decorative use only. They are perfect for a garden room, garden shed or ‘she shed’. Salt Marsh Pottery was founded by Betsy & JP Powel in Dartmouth, Massachusetts in 1968. ‘We put a flower on a smooth beach stone, roll out clay like pie crust & slap it down over the stone & flower. The rock gives the clay shape & texture; the flower leaves its perfect impression. When the dish dries, we paint the impression, then fire it for seven hours. When it cools we slosh it with a background color, glaze it, & fire again.’ Betsy Powel. Thanks for looking through TheBlackSuitcase! Three
