Here we have a 1940s Powder Compact by Tallent. It is beautifully styled - you can just imagine a lady in the 1940s taking this out of her handbag to use. It comes in a presentation bag & would be a great gift. The exterior is engineered white metal with an Art Deco style edging to the sides. The compact opens to show a gold tone interior with a mirror & inner lid. You can see Tallent & Made in England on the edge of the compact. There is the original powder screen inside with a gold tone metal edge to it. The mirror gives a good reflection but does have some marks. The interior also has a few marks & the powder screen has slightly torn in the left hand corner. The bottom of the powder area has some scratches to it as well. While the exterior has some light scratches it has no dints & is lovely & shiny. It is an attractive compact which a collector of 1940s items or vintage powder compacts would love.
