Stunning small art deco vase in solid brass, with some exquisite round abstract embossings, & a lightly hammered finish. It was made in Germany by the famous manufacturer WMF, as indicated by the maker’s mark at the bottom of the vase, depicting an ostrich within a rhombus. This specific mark allows us to date the vase to the 1920s. It is an exquisite item, which is not only highly collectable, but would make for a wonderful decoration. This vase shows normal signs of wear & use commensurate with age, including various dings & a light layer of patina, contributing to its vintage look. It remains structurally sound, though, being watertight & in good working order.
