A Stunning Stratton Vintage Gold Tone Powder Compact / Make-up Mirror with Gold Fleur de Lys Design on Dark Shiny Blue Enamel background. The back features a machine engraved concentric circles of stars design. The inside rim says Made in England. The internal flap has the Stratton Compact-in-Hand logo & says Stratton. Closes with a satisfying snap sound. C 1960s. The Compact-in-Hand mark indicates the compact has a self-opening inner lid. This was patented in 1948 & is unique to Stratton compacts. The compact has powder remnants & contains a powder sifter. The clasp, hinges & springs are all working perfectly. The mirror compact diameter measures 7 cm (2 3/4 in) & is 1 cm (3/8 in) deep. Weighs 85 g (2.9 oz). It is in excellent vintage condition overall. The mirror glass is in excellent condition & gives a wonderful crystal clear reflection. The compact overall shows some signs of wear due to its age & is a pre loved item. The enamel image is in excellent condition. Please view photos.
