A wonderful Stratton Vintage Gold Tone Signed English Powder Compact / Make-up Mirror with a vertical band on a brushed metal effect cover. A gorgeous machine engineered design. The back features concentric circles of stars & has a cartouche in the centre which says Stratton, Made in England. Closes with a satisfying snap. c 1960s. The clasp & hinge are working perfectly. The compact has an empty powder well with a mirror in fabulous condition. This convertible cosmetic powder compact is suitable for modern loose & pressed face powders. The inside rim around the mirror is etched with Made in England. The mirror compact diameter measures 7.75 cm (3 in) & is 1 cm (1/2 in) deep. The compact weighs 70 g (2.5 oz).
