Here we have a stunning Stratton wild flying ducks over a river vintage powder compact. The Mallard type ducks appear almost abstract with the unusual use of enamel overlays, which provides a wonderful depth of field to the piece. The back has a concentric circle pattern on it, which was used by Stratton in the 1950’s. The compact has Stratton England written on the inside & is also personalised with Marion 1955. This would make a fabulous gift for someone named Marion, someone who collects Stratton powder compacts or maybe someone who loves ducks & quirky handbag accesories. There is no powder puff, however there is a sifter in excellent condition, the sifter still contains traces of powder. The hinges & clips are also all in good condition. The Compact Mirror had a diameter that measures 3 inches has a depth of 9mm.
