Senna purpusii is a perennial shrub in the Fabaceae family. It is native to Baja California. It grows to 3 to 4 feet tall & wide with beautiful green/blue foliage. The flowers are a deep yellow with a hint of orange that blooms from the early spring until mid-fall. It grows from sea level to around 1, 500 feet in altitude. It prefers sandy to gravelly soil in full sun to part shade. It is also a drought-tolerant shrub. Zones 9-11 Germination Soak seeds 24 hours. Sow seeds the thickness of the seeds & lightly cover with a medium. Keep moist in a bright spot. Do not cover with plastic but maintain a temperature around 65-75F. Germination 7-30 days.
