Guldkroken Keramik in Hjo was founded by Mrta & Bengt Grunditz. What began in the 1940s with the manufacture of elves & trolls in wood developed into an extensive production of hand-turned & cast ceramic objects. Bengts & Mrta’s innovative & creative desire to experiment was an important driving force. During the 70s & 80s, ceramics were in great demand. Guldkroken Keramik had its own premises for displaying objects in our three largest cities. Among the popular objects were candlesticks in several different designs & piggy banks in different sizes & patterns. The small family business grew into a company with many employees.
