Salt Pig, Slipware

This quirky salt-pig was made using the pinch-pot technique, it started as a ball of clay that was firstly pinched into a cup shape, that by constantly working it became this balloon-like vessel. The decoration was made by layering differently coloured slips on top of each other. Then scratching through them to reveal the now hidden layers below. It comes with a wooden salt spoon & is dishwasher safe. Salt Pig, Slipware
