A salt pig is a convenient way to keep salt & herbs handy while cooking. Simply fill with salt & set on your kitchen counter top. This salt pig is about 5 inches tall. The opening measures 3.5 inches in diameter. A wooden spoon is included. I made it on the potter’s wheel in my Virginia studio. Once the clay was dry enough to handle, I trimmed it & laid it on it’s side so that the opening would be to one side. I added feet to keep the salt pig from rocking. After the first firing, I dipped it ina blue glaze & dribbled yellow & brown glazes over the top & fired it a second time. Thank you for your interest in my work.
