A lovely set of spices. A salt & a pepper shaker on a small porcelain bowl. Salt & pepper shakers, as well as the bowl on which they stand, were made from the famous Limoges porcelain from France. Limoges porcelain is also known as the white gold from France. Limoges porcelain is hard-paste porcelain that has been manufactured by factories in & around Limoges since the late 18th century. However, the term Limoges porcelain does not refer to a specific manufacturer. By 1830 the city of Limoges replaced Paris as the main center for private porcelain manufacturers. Limoges has maintained this position to this day. Our salt & pepper shakers are decorated with delicate, floral motifs. Likewise the small porcelain bowl. A wonderful set that perfectly complements your valuable porcelain tableware on the lunch table. This set is also a nice decoration in the kitchen. This spice set is also ideal as a gift for traditional friends & acquaintances who love unusual gifts. The spice set is in perfect condition. Due to the age it is a little yellowed in some places. We have not removed these traces of time. The set can easily be cleaned with a damp cloth. A small cork stopper would have to be attached to the underside of the salt & pepper shaker. This was lost over time.
