This is a rare & beautiful wand made from a dried WOAD stem with its root still attached that I grew myself this last year. I sanded it smooth (by hand) & then wand has been finished with a coat of locally made beeswax polish. The wand measures about 13 inches long. Each of my wands wand comes with a Free handmade wand bag (useful to keep your wand safe in & to tie to your belt during ritual) . This wand is a somewhat fragile wand - made out of a plant stem rather than wood, it will snap if you sit on it, so its not a wand to take travelling with. Woad Woad is a herb plant rather than a tree, & is generally grown as a dye plant - it’s first year leaves bear indigo. It’s associated with healing - said to have anti-cancer, anti-biotic & antiseptic properties & is magically associated with shape-shifting & the sun.
