Rare Pompeian Beauty Powder box. Beautifully decorated lid with label about product to base. This type of decoration complimented the design of the Pompeian powder compact & is important as in early 1935 the decoration to the Pompeian range changed to very pronounced Roman Columns with new style lettering, & the colours included red, black & gold. This was in contrast to early products. in 1937 the Pompeian brand was sold again, however when America entered WWII, the brand disappeared. Diameter 8cms x height 4cms The beauty powder box is in remarkable condition. Minimal wear to decorated lid & the base has a couple of feint marks. The powder box is empty. Displays extremely well.
