Our envelope style pillowslips are made with organic, 19-mommes peace silk, & sewn with organic cotton & tercel thread. They are 100% Biodegradable & can simply be returned to the earth once you are finished with them. Botanically dyed or left natural, each is unique & chemical free. We use tannin-rich organic avocado peels to achieve our long-lasting soft blush colour. Each dye vat is a bit different, so the depth of colour may vary slightly. Keep out of direct sunlight. Washing Instructions: Hand wash in cool water (30 degrees Celsius). Use a natural, plant based, delicate wash detergent. These can be found in the natural foods aisle of most grocery stores as well as in health food shops. Never ring out or squeeze your silk. We recommend rolling it in a clean towel to remove excess water. Some stretching may occur during the care of your pillowslip - this is normal & will not affect the integrity of the silk. Washing Frequency: Silk is a natural stain repellent & is antimicrobial, so doesn’t need to be washed as often as other fibres. We suggest a quick, gentle hand wash once a week or even every two weeks depending on your evening skin care routine. Drying: Lay flat to dry on a towel out of direct sunlight. Never dry your peace silk pillowslip in the dryer! Iron: You may iron at a low silk setting.
