Just find a light airy spot, follow these four simple steps: Open up - Water - Grow - Harvest - In around two weeks you’ll be making your own steps 5 and 6 - cooking and eating! While we can’t personalise the mushroom kits, you certainly can - each kit will produce a unique bouquet of mushrooms, and as you watch them grow, you can cook up a plan to make a meal of them! The DIY Kits are made in Newcastle upon Tyne, where we pack them and send them out, these kits include a mushroom spawn voucher, simply follow the instructions in the box to order the spawn when the recipient is ready to start growing. We are 100% confident in our product so if for any reason it does not perform as described we will happily replace it.Each DIY Kit use a trial and tested substrate made of recycled cardboard and the growbox is recycled card and contains clear growing instructions, mushroom spawn voucher, gloves, free water spray bottle and thermometer.IMPORTANT: When you are ready to start growing, simply order your mushroom spawn using the voucher inside your kit, and we will send it out straight away. Each pack is different and the mushrooms grow in all shapes, sizes and even colours!!Our biggest yield from the first crop was over 500g, which was excellent but around 200-250g is a more normal yield for the first harvest - it will vary from pack to pack. After the first harvest you can prepare for Round Two; simply leave the kit to rest for 10 days then start again by watering it.This really is the gift that keeps giving - once you’ve finished growing mushrooms, you’re left with nutrient rich soil enhancer. Just empty the compost from growbag, break it up and sprinkle into pots of houseplants or onto flowerbeds for them to enjoy too!
