This is an easy clump forming houseplant or a fine plant for Tropical/Sub-tropical woodland garden with interesting foliage & bright red berries. It can tolerate cool to warm conditions but is best grown intermediate to warm in a humid place, average home temperatures will suit it well. It enjoys bright to shaded light, warmth, regular spraying & watering/fertilizing. Grow it in any nutrient rich compost & overtime it will spread to form a dense ground cover. Excellent as an individual houseplant, in a display, greenhouse, conservatories or as tropical groundcover planting outside in summer. It can grow 30 - 90cm high & 60cm or so across. It forms a rosette of lush intense green oblong to lance-shaped 20 - 60cm long leaves. It has a compact cylindrical inflorescence 4 - 10cm long full of small white to white-purple hermaphroditic flowers. Berries are initially green, ripening to vivid red - orange when ripe.
