On offer is this lovely collectible pair of salts. Both are in good condition overall, the silver plating shines up well still - notable shallow dings/ bruises as well as light scuffs & scratches commensurate with age; both interiors are showing salt-corrosion & verdigris but as shown all adding to the aged charm & character of the duo. They’re of traditional form, beautifully decorated with an attractive border pattern & to their front side is an heraldic crest showing a rampant griffin & the motto Iolanthe. Originally they would’ve had glass liners. Both are marked for Edward & Sons of Glasgow & London, circa late 19th century. Also present are two silver plated salt spoons - not original but they conform well together. They each measure a charming 55mm outer diameter & 30mm in height. A lovely duo ready to be collected & enjoyed once again! The postage quote is for a Royal Mail tracked & insured service. I also offer combined postage options so please do get in touch if you’re interested in more than one item/ lot. As always all my shop items are open to offers - I can reserve an item for you & accept layaway payment options to suit every budget.
