Organic White Peony (Bai Mu Dan) leaf tea: Our white peony tea is a delicate & organic loose leaf tea from China. Two young leaves & one unopened flower bud are hand-plucked from the Camilla Sinensis bush to produce a light yet flavorful tea. When withering & drying the leaves & buds, they are exposed to minimal oxidation (whereas black tea is fully oxidized). Therefore, the flavor of this tea is more gentle & floral than green tea. Steeping this in hotter water for a longer duration of time will increase the caffeine level. However, you can use lower-temperature water for less time to create a softer flavor without less caffeine. Since it is minimally processed, white tea holds incredible nutritional value over green & black tea. Due to the delicate soft flavor of this tea, adding any kinds of milk, creams, or sugars is not recommended as it will dominate over its natural flavor. Caffeine Level: Low.
