Hand-sculpted from heavily reticulated & hammered sterling silver, this ring is elegant with a rocky edginess. The lovely rose-cut rutile quartz is set on a piece of silver which I polished to create a miror effect. This makes the stone shine out like a lantern. I love crystal quartz for its transparency & magical depth. This may reflect a longing for clarity of mind. To me, this is the meaning of the stone. The design of this ring references the dramatic rocky landscape of the coast of Ireland where I live. Around US size 8.25. It has some texture on the inside which has been carefully filed & sanded for smoothness of touch. The black colour of the patina will wear off with wear, staying dark in the nuances of the texture. The ring will retain an ancient, raw look while the silver is exposed, & will only gain with time & wear.
