This is tienne. tienne is an organic loopy gold band. I used to make this band to order & I don’t anymore, this is the last one. I made her out of a clay like wax to give her a natural earthy feel. tienne is about 7.8-8.6mm wide. I gave her a brushed finish. size 7 - tienne is a size 7 1/4 on my ring mandrel but due to her width & open loops she fits like a size 7. A little about how your ring was made. Lost wax casting. I begin by creating a wax model of your ring. I then make a mold of it with plaster. After it sets, I place your mold into my kiln for many hours during which the wax is melted out. Next I melt your gold & spin it into the mold using a centrifugal casting machine. It is then quenched in water, there is a mini explosion as the hot flask hits the water & your plaster mold is destroyed. Now for my favorite part, I dig to the bottom of the bucket to find your little gold sculpture. I’m so happy, your ring is ready to be cleaned, textured & finished.
