One of the most stunning vases of the Art Deco era. A heavy & well made vase in a lovely delicate powder blue frosted glass. Made by Walther of Germany. Pattern is known as Schmetterling or Butterfly in English. Features a woman in a classical sweeping dress with her arms spread. The folds of the dress spread out to encompass the pattern within the vase. Almost like a butterflies wings spreading open. She stands barefoot on a mound of spring flowers. This design is mirrored on both sides of the vase. Comes complete with its original frog, very rare to get these with the vases as they often get lost. This is a very large & heavy vase. One of the rarest vases to find. in great vintage condition. Some scuffs on the inside from the frog being moved over the years.
