William Morris famously said, Have nothing in your houses that you do not know to be useful, or believe to be beautiful. Hand sewn cushion cover made from a piece of Morris & Co’s Seasons of May design printed on a linen & viscose mix. Seasons by May is our interpretation of a c.1895 embroidery called Spring & Summer designed & most likely stitched by May Morris. Produced on a textured cloth our version features a mirrored trellis of parakeets stylised roses tulips leaves & turning stems accented with intricate detail across the feathers & petals. ( quote from the Morris website. ) The cover has been piped in a contrasting dark pink cotton & is lined in a beige linen & cotton mix fabric. All the seams have been double sewn & four stitched overlocked for strength. The cushion has a flap on the reverse for ease of opening. Dry clean only PLEASE NOTE This listing is for the cover only. I do not provide the inserts. All my covers are single- sided only with linen or velvet on the reverse. If you require your cushion to be double- sided please message me. Thank you so much.
