These pretty earrings feature 8 mm green malachite beads, intricately hand wrapped in pretty knot work of sterling silver wire & finished with a pair of simple sterling silver ear wires. They come in a pretty ribbon wrapped gift boxed. For this listing I will instinctively choose a pair of beautiful beads from my latest batch of grade A stones & your earrings will be made to order & ready to ship within 2 working days. Due to the instinctive methods of hand wrapping & the unique banding on each stone, each pair will be slightly different from the illustrative photography. These earrings are approximately 26 mm long to the top of the ear wires by 10 mm wide. Please check all sizes carefully as I often use close up photography to show the detail of my work. Beautiful emerald green malachite is very distinctive for it’s strong opaque colour & pale formations within the stone which form banding or whorls making each bead unique. It often forms alongside azurite or chrysocolla creating beautiful combinations of deep blues & greens. Practitioners of crystal healing believe malachite to be the stone of transformation & like many green gemstones it is attributed with soothing, restful properties & a link to creativity. Named for the Greek word for the herb mallow due to it’s striking greenness which resembles the leaves, malachite is a stone instantly recognisable in the world of gemstones & has been used since ancient times to create jewellery, carvings & amulets.
