A selection of wild flower seeds selected to attract Bees & Butterflies & help maintain & encourage the UK Bee population to thrive. Once your seeds have arrived using our extremely speedy free postage you can sow them. Seeds should be sown from late January until late October. As there are hundreds/thousands of seeds in each pack, we are unable to guarantee the exact mix of seeds nor the ratio of seeds in each mix. We add around 30% spreading compound (Black Volcanic Sand) to our mix to ensure the flowers do not grow too close together & to ensure an optimum distance for good germination & display when fully grown. Black Volcanic Sand also provides the perfect minerals for your plants to grow strong & ensures that they stay healthy for as long as possible. What we can assure our customers is that we always aim to provide a good mix of wildflower seeds, with no grasses bulking out the mix. Choose where you would like to grow your Wild Flowers Rake the surface of the ground to about 1cm depth Shake the packet well Make sure that you don’t sprinkle the seeds too close together Sprinkle the seeds evenly & then immediately water Cover the seeds over to avoid them spoiling or being taken by birds & other wildlife Continue to water but only lightly Be patient & after 4 to 8 weeks you will start to see the fruits of your labour Remember the colder it is the slower the germination process will be Bear in mind that initially there will be lots of green leaves whilst the seeds grow & establish into young flowers. Patience is key at this stage. The seed rate for annuals is 2 grams to the sq metre. For wild flower perennials, it is 1.5 grams. As the seeds are a mixture of both, 2 grams per meter would be suitable. Contained seeds example (but not limited to): Paper Daisy, Pheasant’s Eye, Pot Marigold, Cornflower, Dwarf Morning Glory, Corn Marigold, Evening Primrose, Forget-me-not, Four o’ Clock, California Poppy, Baby’s Breath, Corncockle, Love-in -a-mist, Corn Poppy, Golden Tickseed, Blue Lupin, Borage, Purple Tansy, Blanket Flower, Clarkia, Mixed Cosmos, Marsh Mallow & Clovers.
