I combined a hair-on cowhide in a khaki (or maybe latte) brown salt & pepper with pieces of a vintage kilim rug that form the sides, & a sturdy matte brown pull-up leather for the strap & trim, in a sleek curvy shape. On the front, a vintage Hmong silk ornament leads to some small beads & a long tassel. Antique bronze rings join the strap to the bag at the sides. Indigo denim lines the inside pocket, & the back side offers another large pocket. A center magnetic snap & two concealed bar magnets form a nice neat closure all along the top while still allowing one-hand access. The long patch pocket on the back serves two purposes: keeping your phone handy & also providing a barrier between the cow hair & your clothing. This prevents the problem of balding which can happen over time due to friction. This bag is big 18 inches across at the widest point, 14 at the top, 14 inches tall at the sides & 4 inches deep. Like all my bags, this one was designed & made by me in my Bay Area studio. I rarely make the same design twice, & always use upcycled or responsibly processed materials, to the extent that information can be verified.
