PRODUCT All molds are used with a silicone mold-making putty & is excellent in mold making castings with media such as polymer clay, precious metal clay, resin, soap, wax, plaster, chocolate, sugar, fondant, & even ice. FOOD COMPLIANT Mold putty complies with FDA 21 CFF 177.2600 & can be used safely in contact with food. It is highly recommended to allocate molds intended for food use to only be used for food & no other casting material to prevent contamination. DEMOLDING/MOLD LIFE Mold life expectancy is a variable of many different factors; length of time media is in the mold, release of heat (exotherm) of resin being used, intricacies of the detail in the mold, the force needed to demold, etc. Even with these factors, there are some things you can do to get the most out of your molds & extend the life: 1. Use mold release such as Stoner Mold Release Spray or Alumilite UMR Mold Release, cornstarch, baby oil & with some molds, isopropyl alcohol. If using molds for food applications, use a food-grade release agent such as Pam cooking spray. 2. Avoid leaving castings in the molds any longer then they need to (especially overnight). With resin, due to release of heat (exotherm), remove castings as soon as they have cooled/cured. 3. Fondant or Polymer Clay tip: Once
