Lovely earrings created by the fabulous Laurel Burch using her signature cloisonne technique. These earrings are enamel with 22k gold plating & 14k gold-filled posts. The color of the enamel is periwinkle blue. The second photo is closest to the actual color of the earrings. The gold defines the sections & gives much detail. They measure approximately 3/4 inch by 3/4 inch. The earrings are in excellent vintage condition. My photos do not do them justice. I will ship to locations outside the United States. Please contact me for a shipping cost. Won’t you visit my shop? http://www.etsy.com/shop/embracingyesterday Laurel Burch is one of my favorite new vintage artists. She began making her jewelry back in the 1960s. She was a single mother who found metal in junkyards & hammered it on the back of a frying pan in her kitchen to create jewelry. She would then sell the pieces from a tackle box on the streets of San Francisco. She was discovered & financially backed by a gentleman who recognized her talent. She went on to launch her own business that is now called Laurel Burch Artworks. She passed away in 2007 at the age of 61. Her earlier pieces of jewelry are now highly sought after, especially since the designs have been retired & the jewelry line discontinued.
