This adorable stylized donkey pulling a cart is a planter, perfect for an air plant, cactus or other small plant. The mane & tail are coiled clay, his mouth is open & he has very modern looking legs. It could be FRATELLI FANCIULLACCI Italian Montelupo pottery, however there is no maker found on it. Hand painted in a mottled gray with red, brown & yellow on the cart finished with a shiny glaze. Marked Made in Italy on the bottom. Condition - small chips on the ear tips, one larger chip on the rim of the cart. Measures - approximately 8.25 x 3 x 3.75 high. The planter/cart is 3 diameter.
