Hawaiian Alaea Sea Salt offers two things: colour & mellowness. The unique terracotta-like colour makes a huge impression on a dish, showing off your hard work in the kitchen or over the grill. The clay itself adds a mellowness to the usual tang of sea salt, making it feel less bitingly saline & more approachable. It can be used either as a cooking or finishing salt, but with the awesome colour, we prefer to use it for finishing & have enjoyed it on everything from popcorn & rice dishes, to grilled lobster & russet potatoes.
