Handmade Colorful Yellow & Red Hibiscus Flower Metal Keychain, Colored Pencil On Silver Toned White Bronze

This beautiful Yellow & Red Hibiscus Keychain was handmade using a silver-toned white bronze metal. The hibiscus was hand carved into a mold & white satin metal clay was pressed into the mold. After firing the metal clay in the kiln, the metal was polished, then numerous coats of colored pencil were applied to achieve the colors on the hibiscus. Three coats of protective sealant were applied to the entire piece, giving the colored areas an enameled look. This process is very durable & the metal is extremely strong. It is made from bronze, iron & tin powdered metals combined with an organic binder & water. It can be modeled, molded, or sculpted then when heated to a high temperature, the binder burns away, & the metal particles sinter (or fuse) into metal.
