The is a fox hand painted in underglaze before the first firing. After that a clear glaze is added to the outside & the inside was glazed orange. The inside is completed glazed so it is food & water safe. It could be used to hold flowers, succulents, pens, rings, change or just for display. It is actually food safe, so you could also use it for breadsticks too. It is 5 inches tall to the tip of the tail & 5 inches across. The opening is 3 inches in diameter. I have shown it in a photo with a soda can to give you an idea of the size. This style of animal is made from a slab of clay & then rolled into a cylinder. A bottom is attached & then I alter it to form the body pushing out the sides & the lip of the vase. A face & sometimes tails are added. Some pieces have underglaze hand painted on the outside for detail & are clear glazed while others just get coated in colored glaze. I like them to be whimsical & fun so I tend to play loose with shapes & colors. No one piece is ever exactly like the next, so they are all original & one of a kind. I believe in recycling all of my packaging materials as to save on waste. What is inside the box is really pretty but the outside might be a box & packing paper I have received from someone else. I try & double box all of my pieces as much as possible for protection so they will also be heavier than normal. Since everything I create is one of a kind, I try & keep it as safe as I can while it is traveling to its new home. Import duties & other charges are not included in the shipping cost.
