This is the Suitcase design compact from Mascot of London in the 1950s, the decade of glamorous travel! Such a wonderful novelty compact. It has the original box & carry pouch. The compact is rectangular gold metal case with handle. It is a superb vanity item with a high end design. I love the detail which makes this such a fancy find. There is also a blank cartouche which could be engraved to personalise. The base has a machine turned pattern. The compact has a push button mechanism to open it. in the base there is a lid engraved with the Mascot logo. This interior lid has opens to allow access to the powder well, the powder sifter is in place. The mirror is clear. The compact is empty but could be refilled with your favourite shade. This would make a wonderful gift for a real vintage lover. Also included is the original black fabric pouch to protect your compact when taken out in your handbag. This beautiful compact measures approximately 8cm by 6cm. It is in very good vintage condition.
